Why we should we study English?
If you want to ask me why we should study English,my answer will be sinple and clear.Now let me enumerate the reasons one by one in the following.In the first place,English has become an international language.If you know English,you can make a trip round the world without being misunderstood.In the second place,most valuable books,newpapers and magazines are written in English.If you wish to get knowledge,you must learn Englisn.

如果你要问我为什么我们要学英文。我的答复很简单明了。现在让我来把我的理由一一列举在下面：首先，英文已成为一种国际语言。如果你通晓它，你就可以环游世界，不会被人误解。其次，大多数有价值的书籍、报纸和杂志都是用英文写的。如果你希望获得知识，你必须学习英文。

How to be a good citizen
My aim is to become a good citizen so as to be able to renber service to the country.However,to become a good citizen is not an easy thing.He has many duties to fulfill.The first duty of a good citzen is to love his county.He is to (=must)be ready to sacrfice even his own life for  the country.His second duty is to obey the law and help the government maintain order.If everybody can do so ,the country will be rich and strong(=powerful).
如何做好一个好公民
我的志向是做一个好公民以便能报效国家。然而，做一个好公民不是一件容易的事情。他有许多责任要尽。一个好公民第一件责任是爱他的国家。他须准备为国家牺牲自己的生命。他第二件责任是服从法律并且帮助政府维持治安。如果人人都能这样做的话，国家必定富强。

Diligence
      It is a matter of course that diligence will bring us success,wealth and good luck.I am sure that a hard-working person can succeed in the work which he wants to do .This is an unchangeable truth.
     Idleness is the opposite of diligence.An idle man only enjoys playing and making pleasures.That he is doomed to failure is of no doubt.We should not follow his example.
勤勉
     勤勉会带给我们成功、财富和好运乃是当然之事。我确信一个苦干的人终是能够把他所要做的工作做成功。这是不变之真理。
     懒惰是勤勉的反面。它是万恶之源。一个懒惰的人只享受玩耍和寻乐。他注定失败是毫无疑问的。我们不应效仿他。

Good health
       We all wish to be happy,so we should take good care of our healt.
       Health is the best treasure(which) a man can possess.Money can do many things,but it cannot buy happiness.However ,so long as a man has good health ,he can enjoy the pleasures of human life.
       In order to insure good health we must pay attention to three things.They are nourishing,fresh air and proper exercise.
良好的健康
我们大家都希望快乐，所以我们应该好好保持健康。
健康是一个人所能拥有的最好的财富。钱能做许多事情，但是它买不到幸福。然而，只要一个人有良好的健康，他就能享受人生的乐趣。
为了保证良好的健康，我们必须注意三件事情。它们是营养食物、新鲜空气和适当运动。

To rise early
I do not know the reason why some people want to get up late.They will never have the opportunity to enjoy the fresh air and calmness of the morning.This is indeed a quite regrettable thing.To rise early is a good habit (which) we should cultivate.Why?Because the best time when we can pursue our studies is in the morning.In addition,early rising is also good to our health.I hope that everybody knows the reason why we must rise early.
论早起
我不知道某些人要晚起的理由，他们永不会有机会来享受早晨的新鲜空气和宁静。这真是一件非常令人遗憾的事情。早期是我们应该养成的一种良好习惯。为什么？因为早晨是我们从事学业的大好时间。再者，早起对我们的健康也有益处。我希望每个人都知道我们必须早起的理由。

Thrift
There is not a thrifty man but becomes a rich man sooner of later.Why?Because he will not spend such money as is unnecessary.Little by little his money will accumulate.Ten to one,he is bound to make a fortune.I do not like such men as spend their money in a wrong way.They do not know extravagance is a bad thing.It can only make them happy for the tinme being.In short,thrift makes poor men rich and extravagance makes men poor.
节俭
没有一个节俭的人迟早不成为一个富翁。为什么？因为他绝不花那种不必要的钱。渐渐的，他的钱就会聚积起来。十之八九，他一定会发财的。我不喜欢那种乱花钱的人。他们不知道奢侈是一件坏事。它只能够使他们暂时快乐而已。简言之，节俭使穷人变富，奢侈使富人变穷。

Where there is a will,there is a way
The secret of success(The key to success)is not so much money as a strong will.A great man is one who has a strong will and an indomitable spirit.In order words,if a man does not have a strong will to win (get)the final victory,he will never succeed in his life.He is no more than a failure.It is quite obvious that there is no diffcult thing(nothing diffcult)in the world.If you make up your mind to do it,you will certainly accomplish your end.That stands to reason.
有志者，事竟成
成功的要诀不是金钱而是一个坚强的意志。一个大人物是一个具有坚强意志和不屈不挠精神的人。换句话说，如果一个人没有坚强意志去获得最后的胜利，他终其一生永远不会成功。他只不过是一个失败者。很明显世界上并没有难事。如果你下定决心去做它，你一定会达到目的。那是显而易见的。

Courage
In the matter of courage we all have our limits.
There never was a hero who did not have his bounds.
I suppose it may be said of Nelson and all the others whose courage has been advertised
that there came times in their lives when their bravery knew it had come to its linit.
勇气
