It was said that "Justice can be late, but it's never absent". In some schools, some classes, being late counts to being absent, though.

I heard about a case that a man had been accused of transportation of drugs, being sentenced to death, and getting his appeal rejected. Luckily, the execution was disapproved by the Supreme Court because of lack of evidence. After further investigating for twice, the evidence is still not enough to judge him guilty, and then the case was dismissed.

Somebody said that he is lucky, escaped from being shot. However, being sentenced to death seems won't be lucky for anyone, we can only say that he isn't "so unlucky", as he was finally released, experiencing a narrow escape. As he is innocent after all, the courts which sentenced him to death will be in huge trouble.

In series movies, the execution can always be delayed until hearing "Keep them alive". The man above is also an example. However, it's nearly impossible in reality. Many innocent people were executed in some special periods, and being judged innocent after 10, even 20 years, many officers are strictly punished, but dead people will never be brought back.

All lives matter (not only black lives, lol), and the execution of a person can never be undone. These are reasons to strict death sentence step by step, and finally getting it entirely abandoned.

Beside this, justice for victims is always a hot topic. Getting a criminal punished seems to be justice for them, but this is about law. In our daily life, many things are unfair, and if being aggressed by somebody, the latter will be considered a "bad guy". If we want to get justice, we should go get it by ourselves, instead of simply sitting here, waiting for the "bad guy" being punished by god. The "bad guy" may die 20 years later, we can be happy then, but it doesn't mean we get the justice.
